Man Saves Burning Church

A 20-year-old man from Roseville, California is being hailed a hero in his local community. Last week local resident CJ Sparks had noticed some black smoke and what appeared to be the start of a fire. He discovered that the fire was at the Advent Lutheran Church in Citrus Heights. A portion of the exterior as well as several nearby pallets were going up in flames. Tony Moloney, a former taxi driver from Ireland, moved the media after confessing that he was an illiterate for decades.   Moloney, now 60, spent many years of his life in fear. He had a secret. In 2012 Marty O’Connor suffered a terrible accident, which changed his life forever. The young man had just finished his undergrad degree from the University of Colorado and was beginning his career. There is an inspirational story on the Entertainment Weekly website about television legend Mr. Rogers. The author of the piece, Anthony Breznican, reminisces about a time in 2001 when he meet Mr. Rogers in an elevator in Pittsburgh.
