French Scientists Attempt to Measure Dolphin Happiness

The keeping of dolphins in captivity is a controversial topic in France. Recently, legislation was defeated that would have outlawed dolphins being kept in captivity. Because of the controversy, scientists have been conducting a three year long study to determine what makes dolphins happy, and if dolphins show evidence of happiness while in a captive state. 300 Animals Taken To NYC Animal Shelters

Memorial Day was a busy day for animal shelters in New York. Three hundred animals were taken to the shelter. These animals were either strays or were given up by owners who no longer wanted them. Animal Care Centers put an announcement saying that they needed volunteers to help out at the shelter. They were also looking for people to adopt the animals. DJI Drones Help Rescue a 40-Ton Humpback Whale in Hawaii

A team of federal rescue workers from the island of Maui, Hawaii, have rescued a 45-foot long humpback whale entangled in a web of debris. The team have launched a group of small-scale DJI drones and put them in action during this jaw-dropping animal rescue. The DJI quadcopter drones came courtesy of Oceans Unmanned, a non-profit organization based in California.
