Wisconsin Non-Profit Gives Free Graduation Robes to Students

Students in the western Wisconsin city of Eau Claire will receive free gowns and caps this year courtesy of a local non-profit, the Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association. After discovering that some students would have to skip their graduation because they couldn't afford graduation robes, the organization launched the Cap and Gown Recycling Project in 2017. A Florida deputy who saved an infant’s life got a chance to see the baby and his grateful mother again. Earlier this week, Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeremie Nix met with Nechole Crowell and 3-month-old Kingston for the first time since the dramatic May 9 rescue.
