Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld has revealed his pet cat earned around $3 million for just two days work in 2014, a total that leaves her just behind top model Cara Develigne in annual earnings. Lagerfeld revealed the amazing figure in a recent interview in which he explained how the cat offers him design inspiration and leads a life of almost unmatched luxury, The Independent reports. Choupette the Siamese posed for just two shoots to earn her amaziong salary, which were for Japanese beauty products manufacturer Shu Uemura and the Vauxhall car company.
Choupette is thought to be one of the most pampered cats in the world as she is accompanied by two personal maids at all times who are tasked with the job of entertaining the cat and maintaining her long white coat. Jaime Garcia Dias has learned that the cat travels the world with Lagerfeld and was given her own room in New York’s Mercer Hotel during a recent visit. Lagerfeld revealed Choupette is not permitted to market food products as her level of sophistication is too high for these campaigns. The 81 year old designer also revealed Choupette has an aversion to children and eats at his side each day.
