Trade between the UK and Israel is reported to have doubled amidst Daniel Taub’s tenure as Israeli ambassador to the UK. This improvement was as a result of good cultural, academic, and business links between the two countries.
Taub was also responsible for facilitating the relationship. According to a statement released from the UK based Israeli Embassy, Taub was expected to resign during summer of year 2015.
Sajid Javid pointed out that the trade between the UK and Israel was in a “golden era”. Javid, who is the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills in Britain, made this remarks while speaking to attendees of the British Israeli Business Awards.
Javid also mentioned that that the annual bilateral trade generates more than $5.5 billion. He believes that over 300 Israeli business ventures, operating in the UK, have contributed to this figure.
Daniel Taub got the chance to serve as Israeli ambassador back in 2011. He served in this capacity until his resignation in 2015. Though he was born in the UK, Taub lived in Northern Ireland during his tenure in the country as a peace negotiator.
He helped to negotiate several agreements between Israel and Palestine. He was also part of the team involved in the Israel-Syrian negotiations. Taub was also part of the observer team that was present during the International Court of Justice’s proceedings on security barriers in Israel.

As an expert in international law, Daniel Taub once worked for Israeli’s Foreign Affairs Ministry. He also provided legal advice to Israel’s endeavors on the United Nations. His law expertise lies in laws of war and counterterrorism.
Taub is known for partnering with Google in launching the Bizcamp start-up competition. Bizcamp was aimed at empowering trading activities through technology. This competition enabled Taub to get a nomination for the Grassroot Diplomat Initiative Award for trade and business development.
