Jose Borghi’s Success with Mullen Lowe Agency

Originally, when Jose founded Mullen Lowe, it was called Borghi Lowe. After changing the name, he quickly turned Mullen Lowe into one of the best advertising companies in Brazil’s history. To this day, his company is one the most influential companies in the industry. Jose Borghi is one of the foremost creators of high-profile ad campaigns.

Surprisingly, Borghi’s didn’t always know what he wanted to do with his life. As his high school years were ending, his sister became concerned about his possible future. Hoping to help him come to a decision, he took him to Castro Neves Theater to see a performance. The show was a collective of commercials that had won awards at the Cannes Film Festival.

The show was so inspiring that Jose decided to pursue a career in advertising. After earning an Advertising degree from PUC-Campinas, he started looking for work in the marketing industry. He soon found his first job at Standart Ogilvy. Like many advertisement professionals, Jose worked for many other ad agencies. He loved the work so much that he decided to venture out on his own.

Along with his partner, Erh Ray, he opened his agency. BorghiErh quickly became an advertising success. Eventually, their success attracted the attention of larger companies. In 2006, BorghiErh was bought by Lowe, and the company became Borghi Lowe. Jose was named President and shared that presidency with Ray. Some years later, the advertising firm merged with Lowe & Partners and Mullen Group.

Jose’s talent has always made him the go-to man when it comes to high-profile cases. Even as the company has grown bigger and now includes dozens of experienced professionals, Jose Borghi is still in charge of all of the company’s important cases.
