August 13 at 6:00pm – September 4 at 7:00pm
Creative Spirit Art Gallery and The Arts Hub will host an opening reception for “Mechanized Underground,” an exhibition featuring work by Tobar, Nyahzul, and Brian Adams. Creative Spirit Art Gallery is located inside the Harwood Watson Dance Studio at 820A Lake Baldwin Lane in Orlando, Florida. The reception will begin at 6pm and end at 9pm and is free.

“These artists have found the edge of fine art in Orlando,” warned curator Brad Biggs, “and we look forward to presenting this edge – a line constantly being redefined – at this show.”
Tobar, a Chicago underground artist now operating in Orlando, brings his distinctive aerosol style depicting the dangerous characters and shattered urban environment of the street. As editor of Inprogress Magazine, Tobar’s eye for street art is keen, and will bring all new work to this show.
Brian
Adams, with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art and Digital Media, has received numerous awards, combining the influences of the Expressionist Egon Schiele with the Zap Comix world of Robert Williams and manga great Kassuhiro Otomo. He pursues his art career while serving with the Laser Light Studio at Audio Visual Imagineering.
Nyahzul, an Orlando artist, brings a edgy, feminine sensibility to portraiture and figure studies that speak of sexuality, enlightenment, and ecstasy. Counting Dali and Van Gogh among her influences, Nyahzul seeks in her art “an appreciation of the larger scene, or patterns, in life.”
Creative Spirit Art Gallery will host “Mechanized Underground” from August 6 through 27. The Creative Spirit Gallery is a cooperative art gallery, and home to members of the Artist League of Orange County (ALOC) who collaborate to bring featured artists alongside the members’ art.
