Maggie Gill’s story of transforming institutional leadership

Over the years, women have emerged to take on the responsibilities and duties that were perceived to be meant for men. As such, many women have evolved into and hold powerful positions across the world. More so, they have undertaken training and hold professional positions which in turn has impacted positively towards economic and social development. Maggie Gill is a leading figure in the healthcare sector where she has contributed to the advancement Memorial Health to a world leading organization. She first joined Memorial Health as vice president in charge of finance in 2004. Due to her determination and contribution towards the organization, she was promoted to chief operating officer in 2005 a duty she performed to perfection. Her career continued to grow as she was mandated to oversee the daily operations of the organization. In 2011, she was promoted to the position of the president and chief executive officer. As such, her achievements have come with increased responsibilities and tasks. As such, she oversees all the management processes of the organization including government relations, internal audits among others.

Maggie Gill earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and later proceeded to earn master in business administration from Leo University in Florida. This was her commencement towards a fulfilling career development which has made her an icon of leadership in the entire Memorial Health. Due to her diligence and support for Memorial Health, she was recognized as one of the performing chief executive officer in 135 Nonprofit Hospitals and Health System of 2016. This is one the major recognition she has received as being among the notable personalities of 2016. Before joining Memorial Health, she served as chief finance officer of Tenet Healthcare where she received outstanding awards in 2001, 2002 and 2003 consequently. As such, we can attribute her success to good leadership qualities and managerial skills.
