Earlier this year, the founder and executive chair of PodcastOne, Norman Pattiz made a thrilling announcement. The PodcastOne founder made it public that the legendary Norman Lear will be hosting an intimate weekly podcast, All of the Above. Norman Lear is a World War II veteran, director, writer, creator, and producer of dazzling sitcoms such as One Day at a Time, Maude, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, and Good Times among others which revolutionized and redefined American television. The All of the Above show with Norman Lear will be taking listeners on a profound ride of conversations, politics, music, from comedy to family, current events and social issues among others. The show is expected to feature the unique perspectives of politicians, celebrities as well as everyday folk. Every week, a great actor, composer, sidekick and a friend, Paul Hipp, will join Lear. Early celebrity guests for the Norman Lear shows include America Ferrera, Amy Poehler, Jerrod Carmichael and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The conversation topics for the show will range from training for a triathlon with Ferrera, religion with Poehler, race in media with Carmichael, and Louis-Dreyfus’ son’s basketball talent and Veep with Julia.

 

The podcast show made its debut on May 1, and since then new episodes have been airing every Monday of the week on the PodcastOne app, PodcastOne.com and iTunes and fans can subscribe anytime. Norman Pattiz claimed to have admired Lear for a long time and that having his podcast in their PodcastOne network was totally cool and gigantic. Norman Lear, who will soon be turning 95, has lived his life with many talents. He has always had an edge in writing, television, creating, producing and developing over 100 shows. He once had nine of his shows on air concurrently. Lear is also the proud founder of People for the American Way, a liberal advocacy organization with 300,000 members and was awarded by President Clinton the National Medal of the Arts.

 

Norman Pattiz is a reputed American entrepreneur and the profound founder of radio network Westwood One. He is also a member of the graced National Radio Hall of Fame. In 2001, Pattiz joined the University of California’s board of regents and serves as the chairperson of the Department of Energy Laboratories Oversight Committee. He also chairs the boards of both Los Alamos National Security, LLC and Lawrence Livermore. He has been a recipient of the Library of American Broadcasting’s honorary Giants of Broadcasting Award.
