The research carried out by professor Carol Dweck showed that students who receive inspirational messages are able to deal with complex issues. The brain of the student develops becoming adaptive to tackling all types of questions. Class dojo is a communication tool that has made learning an interactive session where students share class activities to 2 to 3 schools.
The research about growth mindset has the power to change how students feel and perceive things. The app has made students happier and the classroom attractive for effective learning. Class dojo has merged with PERTS Center to provide teaching materials for the development of growth mindset. PERTS Research produced educational and interesting five series of animated videos with familiar actors to kids for the development of mindset.
Class dojo stimulates student’s brain awakening them to lead a positive life and teachers award them points appropriately. The App is a communication tool where teachers can share; videos, messages, and photos with parents or guardians about the activities carried on, in the classroom. Class dojo is a user-friendly and half of the schools in U.S and more than 180 schools in other countries are using it enjoying the fruits of the application.
Dave Paunesku the executive director in PERTS is happy of the capability of the class dojo to reach so many teachers, and they are carrying a research on both students and teachers to know the efficiency of the growth of mindset messaging. Mr. Paunesku wants to identify the best videos that collaborate well with the real teaching practice and improve on the weaker areas to make it working.
We will learn together and correct together the videos that don’t work in favor of the students just like Dave paunesku says. Class dojo has five videos that play 2 to 3 minutes offered to the public free of charge. The video play in the sequence from video 1 to 5 as follows:
